Privacy policy

The short version: Offsite is built so we couldn't spy on you even if we wanted to. There are no accounts, no telemetry, and no servers of ours between your computer and your storage. Here's the complete picture.

The app

• Your files travel directly from your computer to storage you own (e.g. your Backblaze B2 bucket). They never pass through, or rest on, anything we run.
• No telemetry. The app doesn't send us usage data, crash reports, file names, or anything else. What you back up is your business.
• Update checks: the app periodically fetches its public releases page on GitHub to see if a newer version exists. GitHub sees an ordinary web request from your IP, as it would from a browser. Nothing about your data is included.
• Secrets stay local: storage keys and tokens are kept in your operating system's credential store (Windows Credential Manager / macOS Keychain) or your local rclone configuration — never sent to us.
• Alerts you configure (chat webhook or email) are sent from your machine to the service you chose, only when you turn them on.

This website

• No analytics scripts, no cookies, no trackers.
• The site is hosted on Vercel and fonts load from Google Fonts; like any web host, these services see standard server-log data (IP address, browser type) when pages load.

When you buy

Checkout is handled by a merchant of record — a payment company that processes the transaction, handles sales tax/VAT, and issues your license. They receive your payment details; we never see your card number. We receive your email address and the license record so we can help you with support and refunds.

When you email us

We keep the correspondence, and use it only to help you. We don't add you to lists or share your address with anyone.

Since we hold almost nothing, requests are simple: write to elias.gomez@live.com and we'll show you, correct, or delete whatever we have (typically: purchase record and any support emails).
